We arrived at the bus stop at the entrance of the village at 8 am. 2 hours (60km! ) to get back to Esteli where we caught the next bus to Somoto.
At the bus station in Somoto we talked to a muchacho who called another chavalo (guy) and finally we're following Elmer - our future guide- to his family's farm at the entrance of the Somoto canyon.
Elmer's father is Henry, a farmer cowboy who owns lands and lots of animals. His 9 children (5 boys, 3 girls) are almost all working as guides, or help the mother cooking and hosting the few tourists staying over.
The first afternoon we relaxed, I did my laundry, we enjoyed the farm animals company (Andrew was being chased by the turkey, was hilarious) and talked with the family. They are so nice and curious. I have to say, I have never had so much attention from muchachos before! The 5 sons hit on me!!! Each one his way! So funny!

I slept like a baby.
The next morning we had a crazy amazing time in the canyon!! 4 hours walking, swimming, jumping, enjoying the views... incredible experience! So much fun!!! I only jumped from 4m cause I am a coward, but Andrew jumped from 15m and Elmer 20m!

I had a free tour to a nice bridge with Elmer, came home, went out again to enjoy local rhum with another brother and his guide friends (on the side of the Panamericana, about 3 km from Honduras... funny experience)
I left this fantastic place the next morning, driven by motorbike to the bus station by one of the brothers! After a long journey of 7 hours (lots of waiting...), I got back to León, at the Albergue where I kinda feel at home now!
